Can I come along for a trial session?
Absolutely! Rugbytots is new to Spain and we want your child to enjoy the classes so to ensure both you and your son or daughter feel happy with us we recommend you attend a class to find out more about Rugbytots and how much fun the sessions are.

My child is fairly small for their age, will they get hurt, and surely Rugby for toddlers is dangerous?
There is no physical contact (i.e. tackling) in Rugbytots classes. It is a play session based on key motor skills such as passing, kicking, catching, running, agility, awareness of space and balance.

Where are the classes held?
The classes will be held in sports clubs that offer both outdoor and indoor facilities, changing rooms and a bar area for drinks and snacks.

For our 2 - 3.5 year olds, the session lasts 30 minutes and for our 3.5 - 5 year olds and 5-7 year olds 45 minutes.

Do I need to bring anything along?
We advise you bring refreshments for your child, especially a drink for during and after the session, however each venue will have it’s own bar area so you can buy refreshments there and enjoy a coffee after or during the sessions.

What should they wear?
We advise you children wear the clothes and footwear they feel most comfortable and confident in. You will receive your Rugbytots kit during your first term and hopefully your child will be excited by receiving this.

Parent participation is encouraged for the younger age groups, and parents can participate for the older ones if they wish however this is normally not necessary.

How many children do you have in a class?
One lead coach is permitted to take 12 children in one class however normally a lead coach would have a helper. For classes of 12 children or more there will be two coaches.

Is it open to boys and girls?
Rugbytots is a non-contact activity so both boys and girls can enjoy the benefits of being part of the Rugbytots experience.

How serious is the coaching element?
The most important factor at Rugbytots is that children have fun and gain enjoyment from the session. For the older class we do start teaching slightly more rugby specific skills such as passing the ball backwards, holding the ball in two hands etc however this is done using many different techniques and games.
